Hair highlighting ideas?

I want to get highlight but I'm not sure which style. Something like this:

Any suggestions my hair is black shoulder length (possible qoinq to be cut into a bob, probably not) I have long bangs like both pictures.Hair highlighting ideas?
if you had to pick one I would pick the first one but I think this one http://media.photobucket.com/image/hair/鈥?/a> (the girl on the right) would look better on you, and also dont get a bob cut I can picture what you look like from your discriptions and you look beautiful. =]
