Hair idea advice on bleaching highlights.?

Ok my cleint aka my mother haha has dark brown hair with redtones in it. it was previously dyed all red but we dyed it brown but red still shines in the sun so, I bought a medium gold brown from sallys to dye it over and a light blonde dye for the highlights but i want it to blend nicley like dirty blonde. how should i do this?

Well you need to take that color back if you can for starters. First of all you will have to bleach it, color cannot lift color so if you put that dye on nothing will happen.Then you will have to dye it with an ash blonde. Since her hair has red tones, and orange pops up when you bleach, if you bleach then put that warm dye on it will be really, really orange, so you have to tone with an ash. Just bleach all of the hair that you want lighter then do the highlights. While they are processing take the darker color and apply it to all of the hair that is not in the foils. Rinse the color out, then pull the foils and rinse them.
